Another small but important first for me today – I managed to shorten my curtains to the right length, just 2 years after we moved into the house and bought them
I’d like to pretend that I used my shiny new sewing machine, to justify the sense of pride I feel about today’s achivement…but that would be a fib. I used hemming tape which you just iron on (which is v excellent) – so the pride is simply from making the curtains the right length (and the same length!) with lovely straight lines everywhere. I realise this is not at all amazing in the grand scheme of things (and all the amazing things I see on everyone’s blogs each week), but it makes me feel useful and practical, which is nice
It’s so lovely not to have them dragging on the floor, which really did look messy – I’m not sure why it took me so long!
And now back to my knitting – life is so good
I’m impressed with your speed – I’ve recently been finishing off some projects that have been sitting around far longer than that!
Haha, fantastic – fortunately, I have no record of the start date of some of my other WIPs sitting around the house, so I can pretend to myself that it hasn’t been that long…! Good luck with yours – and I hope you find the pattern for your 2 year old socks-in-progress!
thanks, plenty to keep me going until the sock pattern turns up
